We recommend Rubbing Alcohol and a soft, clean, lint free towel or sponge to clean and dry the windows. NOTHING else!!!

How long do I need to keep my windows up after installation?
After install, the tinted windows will need to remain up for (3) three days.

I just had my windows tinted and now it's all hazy and has bubbles.
If it been several days and hasn't gone away. It can take 3-4 weeks for bubbles and moisture to completely dry out of film during that time film may appear hazy, lumpy or have water bubbles. Never try to fix any water bubbles after installation doing so may cause other issues.

Will the tint fade, bubble, or turn purple?

ALL films will eventually have issues down the road! No film has a TRUE lifetime warranty, make sure you do research on products before installation! Be aware of ANY "Limited Lifetime Guarantees" because its solely up to the shop discretion!!!

Yes! We need all windows and switches to be functional so film can be applied correctly!

Does the dots or thick lines on my back windshield effect installation?
Most cars have a black ceramic “dot-matrix” edge on the rear window. These dots/lines are sometimes thick which prevent the film from sticking to the area between the dots. This sometimes produces a whitish looking strip trimming the glass.

Can you have window tinting applied to your windows in wet or cold weather?
Yes! Tint is applied to the inside of the glass, so the weather has no effect on the quality of installation. However, the curing time may be extended in cold weather.

How will window-tinting affect my defroster performance?
Window tinting actually helps to insulate the window and helps the defroster clear the glass of frost and fog quicker.

Can I wash my car right after install?
Yes, since all the film is installed on the inside of the windows.

Is the rear windshield tinted in one piece?
Yes, all vehicles are tinted with a one piece back window.

My car has a feature that drops the window slightly when the doors open. Does this cause a problem for tinting?
We know what to do so that the windows will be tinted in the full up position so that no gap will result when the doors are closed.

Is there an extra charge to remove old film?
Yes, Tint removal can be a very tedious job, especially removing tint from the rear windshield because of the defrost lines. We have a special technique that can remove the tint with no harm to the defrost lines in most cases. We do need to see the vehicle to give accurate pricing.

Just had my vehicle painted, will it affect tint installation?

No- If the job was done correctly and no over spray landed on the inside of the windows.
Yes- If the vehicle wasn't prepped correctly! We can NOT see clear coat (over spray). Please inform us if you recently had your vehicle painted!
Will the tint interfere with my navigation or radio reception?
No, here at Dope Tintings we only carry dyed/carbon based films, which means it has no metal layers that can interfere with any reception in your vehicle.
